Event Rules
Team Structure
All team members must be 18 years of age or older on the dates of the race.
Racers will travel as a unit at all times.
Course instructions must be followed at all times.
Withdrawing from a Race
- Teams must complete the entire course, passing all checkpoints in the correct order, to finish as a ranked team.
- No team shall withdraw from the race without informing race officials and signing a withdrawal form.
- Teams may withdraw only at designated race checkpoints and transition areas.
- Any team failing to inform race officials of their withdrawal will be liable for search & rescue costs and any fines issued by local authorities.
- If a racer(s) is/are unable to complete the course, the remaining team members may continue, unranked. Teams must have a minimum of two members to continue racing.
- Racers or teams withdrawing from the race will not be allowed to rejoin the race.
Emergency Assistance
- No team shall impede or fail to render emergency assistance to another team.
- Teams rendering emergency aid to another team will be granted a time bonus equal to time lost.
- Teams may request medical aid/assessment without penalty.
- Medical staff will have final say on individual racers ability to safely return to the race course.
Race Equipment
- All mandatory and stage equipment must be carried at all times, as specified in the course instructions.
- Teams using any mode of transport other than those outlined in the race instructions will be disqualified.
- The use of electronic navigation and communication devices, other than those sanctioned by race officials, is prohibited.
- Only maps supplied by the race officials are permitted.
Respect the Environment!
- All team garbage and waste is to be disposed of in a proper manner.
